The Defensive End of the Houston Texans, JJ Watt opened a fundraiser on the website YouCaring for hurricane victims; The amount of money he raised is jaw dropping.
Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc on Houston, Texas. Through this tragedy we have been able to see America pull together and love on this community. The community itself has shown that we can work together and love on each other no matter how our beliefs may defer. It’s been a breath of fresh air to say the least. JJ Watt poured a ton of love and money on his community after running a very successful fundraiser for hurricane victims.
News Politics| The generous defensive end launched a fundraiser on the website YouCaring to help victims. Watt has now announced the final total, and it’s raised more than anyone ever predicted.
As Huffington Post is reporting, Watt’s fundraiser has raised more than $37 million dollars. You read that right.
Watt’s original goal was $200,000 and he donated $100,000 of his own money. Even he never expected it to get this huge when he launched the fundraiser on August 27! YouCaring’s website even glitched at one point because so many people were donating all at once!
And he’s extremely thankful for the generosity shown by the more than 200,000 donors.
“There are not enough words to thank you all for your generosity,” he wrote on the YouCaring page. “When times are the toughest, humanity stands at its strongest and you have all helped to prove that emphatically.”
Watt has promised that absolutely all the money will go to communities and victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Hollywood Elites and the rest of you Trump bashing liberals, take a look at what a real, caring American, NFL’s JJ Watt was able to do! He didn’t have a televised “celebrity” telethon, yet managed to raise over $37 million dollars for victims of Hurricane Harvey without getting political!
Now that’s what you use your position for, positive example. He is a blessing, more need to follow his example.
Sir, you are an amazing individual and the city of Houston is very lucky to have such a man as you. I hope you have a wonderful year in your quest for a Super Bowl. Unlike the morons who kneel during the National Anthem, you are a true hero and I only hope the children in your area emulate you! Thank you JJ Watt, God Bless!
