VIA|A model from Brazil has never been bashful around cameras, but after a recent series of events, it took her a while to be comfortable in front of one again. However, it seems that after posting a picture of herself in a bikini, she’s gotten quite a bit of attention as viewers are left speechless at the lower half of her body.

Paola Antonini France Costa, 21, from Belo Horizonte, was just a normal girl, but things would take a drastic change just after Christmas in 2014. Unfortunately, the girl was in a car at the time it was struck by a drunk driver. The accident would result in her knee being crushed in the wreckage. Despite four attempts to save it, doctors would later be forced to amputate above the knee.

E ontem a felicidade não coube em mim. A noite foi maravilhosa, a expectativa foi a maior do mundo e, no final, foi muito melhor do que eu poderia sonhar. Tem dia que fico pensando em uma maneira de agradecer tantas alegrias e bençãos na minha vida, agradecer a todas essas pessoas que sempre me dão força, energias positivas, carinho. Familiares, amigos, namorado, conhecidos, profissionais, e todos vocês que me acompanham aqui, vocês fazem a minha vida muito melhor, muito mais feliz. Quando recebi o convite do @alexmoreiraltacostura de desfilar pra ele no evento, fiquei muito honrada, mas vi principalmente como um novo desafio… Desfilar pela primeira vez, com minha prótese e ainda usando um saltinho(pequenininho, mas dificil!!). Peguei firme nisso, fisioterapia, treinos.. E no final a gente vê que todo o esforço vale a pena, e que nossa vida é maravilhosa justamente por dias como esse, por noites como essa, por essa energia incrível e pelo tanto de pessoa maravilhosa que existe no Mundo.
