Commuters of the New York City subway system are usually fraught with violent crime, vagrancy, fare jumpers, and rodents, among its various attributes.
As if that wasn’t enough, however, a flash Slip ‘N slide twerking party on a train car is now part of the travel experience for commuters, audience participation apparently included.
Never has that been more true than when an outrageous twerking party broke out on an NYC subway train, featuring girls in bikinis, a water slide, and a paddling pool.
The unbelievable scene reportedly took place on one of the city’s L trains, with footage showing women in bikinis twerking, while others were sliding on a Slip ‘N Slide laid out across train the floor and drinking alcohol.

This doesn’t look too sanitary to me. This is why I just bite the bullet and use Uber when I am in New York even if the train is faster.
In the now viral clip, a person with dwarfism can be seen donning a bathing suit and taking his turn on the slip-n-slide.
Unsurprisingly, furious Twitter users were astounded by what they saw:
“The most chaotic train ride ever,” one person tweeted in response to the video.
“I don’t understand why young women don’t get any respect,” another person said in response to the video. “Is this even legal. Apparently no indecency laws anymore.”
“Trigger alert, bros. The subways are to get from point a to point b. To the extent we tolerate inflicting ‘performance’ on commuters in a trapped environment, we further harm commuting return and MTA recovery. If you think this is cute, you are the problem,” another person fumed.
It’s unclear who staged the event or why. But for Tim Minton, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s head of communications claimed that even the MTA was not amused and said, “This appears to be a Hollywood concoction or a dopey stunt. New Yorkers don’t appreciate rides being delayed when trains get taken out of service because selfish grownups came to trend.”
More details of this report from The Daily Wire:
This isn’t the worst PR for New York transit in recent weeks. Over the weekend, video of a 16-year-old assaulting a NYPD police officer at the 125th St.-Lexington Ave. subway station in East Harlem also went viral.
NYPD statistics show that transit crimes, including incidents of violence, are up a whopping 55% in 2022 compared to the same time last year, Daily Mail reported.
A recent MTA survey found that “personal safety & security” ranked first among passengers when it comes to “what needs to improve” to increase rider satisfaction, according to The New York Post. The next most pressing concerns for riders were “homeless people,” “people behaving erratically,” “wait times,” and “cleanliness.”
