Trump Just Handed Massive Bad News to Every Welfare Leech in America

President Donald Trump believes strongly in the idea that the government in America should help those who are also willing to help themselves.

America

However, America is still experiencing many able-bodied people who are unwilling to make any effort at improving their lot in life.

“It is a taxpayer-first budget,” one individual said. “Yes, we are concerned on the impact of government spending on the folks who receive benefits, but we are also concerned (about) the folks who pay the taxes in the first place. We think that balance has been lost.”

Trump has proposed a budget that aims to place the interests of the American taxpayer first.

This will begin by reforming bloated government programs and strengthening work requirements for able-bodied adult recipients without dependents.

From conservativetribune:

The Trump administration moved Wednesday to bring back work requirements for the people in America on welfare, reversing an Obama-era policy that had encouraged states to apply for waivers that would exempt welfare recipients from needing to prove that they were either working or receiving job training.

Requiring work or job training was an integral part of the 1996 welfare reform law signed by former President Bill Clinton, The Washington Times reported.

Ohio was the only state that applied for a waiver, which was neither approved nor denied by the previous administration, according to the Associated Press. On Wednesday, the Trump administration closed the door on even the possibility the waiver would be approved by officially denying Ohio’s request, according to AP.

The Office of Family Assistance, under the Department of Human Services, issued a release advising states about the change.

“Re-emphasizing the work requirements in the welfare program means once again promoting gainful employment and economic independence as goals for every family,” the statement read.

“The waiver option offered by the Obama administration is being replaced today by an expectation that work should always be encouraged as a condition for receiving welfare,” the statement continued.

Indeed, work should always be a condition for those receiving government assistance who are able to work. Work is necessary for many reasons but in regard to government assistance, it is especially important because it prevents welfare from becoming a way of life.

And, unfortunately, welfare has become too much of a way of life for some.

Reducing welfare dependency is a step that will help make America great again, and while the left will complain about this measure all day long, the country needs it.

We have all heard stories about how people not only abuse the system but brag about it.
