Delta is waving pet fees and other fees for people who are evacuating Florida because of hurricane Irma.
With the disaster that hit Houston, Texas from hurricane Harvey, Delta is making sure that no pet gets left behind this time in Florida with Hurricane Irma on it’s way. Many animals had to be rescued from the floods in Houston, just maybe the free ride from Delta will cut down on the amount of animals who will get hit by the hurricane.
IJR| Delta Airlines is offering free rides for pets who are able to fit inside the cabin by waiving their standard $75-$200 fees. They didn’t just stop there, however. They also waived fees for checked baggage and capped their flights to and from Southern Florida at $399 when prices would normally change with supply and demand and rise rapidly as the hurricane approached.

I would have liked to see Delta’s ticket prices go down like Jetblue’s but we’ll take what we can get.
