There’s something fundamentally thrilling about being on the edge of the world, looking down at the vast expanse of cavernous land that lies before you. What if you could not only have that feeling, but live in it as well?
In Peru’s sacred Valley of Cuzco, three transparent sleeping capsules allow the visiter to do just that. They’re called skylodgers, and they sit at over 400 feet on the side of a cliff in the valley. The lodges offer impressive views, and also provide the kind of thrilling experience that many adventurers seek.
So, what’s inside of these amazing and (hopefully) safe capsule? Check out the photos and video below to find out.
They’re 400 feet in the air, and brave guests can access them through a steep hike, or through a series of ziplines.

The capsules are 24 feet long and eight feet high, each of them crafted from aerospace aluminum and other weather-resistant materials.
The capsules each have four beds, a dining area, and a bathroom, which is separated from the sleeping area by an insulated wall.
Each capsule as six windows and four ventilation ducts, necessary to ensure that guests have a comfortable, breathable atmosphere while they recharge.
Though the design of the capsule is amazing, the really impressive part of this lodging experience is the view.
It’s especially gorgeous at night – It would almost feel like you were floating in space, wouldn’t it?
