36-year old offensive tackle and former Seattle Seahawk Duane Brown was arrested Saturday at LAX after allegedly trying to go through a TSA security checkpoint with a stolen firearm.
The incident occurred at 2 PM local time.
According to TMZ Sports, Brown, who is one of the top 10 free agents, was arrested on gun charges at LAX airport. He allegedly tried to go through TSA with an unloaded gun in his luggage. The publication reported that the weapon was found in Brown’s bag during routine screening at the airport.

The longtime NFL vet became a focal point of the anthem protests that swept the league in 2017. Brown knelt for the anthem when he was in Houston.
He also raised his fist during the anthem and, on at least one occasion, did not come out for the playing of the anthem at all.

A few other NFL stars too made news for the wrong reasons after they got arrested for different reasons. In January 2022, NFL player Malik McDowell was arrested after he got naked in public and beat up a police officer.
In the same month, former NFL star Austin Seferian-Jenkins had a run-in with the law after he got behind bars for domestic abuse.
Another former NFL star Mark Walton, got in trouble after he got arrested in March 2022 for an alleged armed robbery that took place in Miami. Walton and an accomplice reportedly pulled a gun on a person and demanded they give him “everything.”
