For its avid listener, it was sad and shocking!
While on the air on Monday morning, popular British radio host Tim Gough died tragically. According to a press release from GenX Radio Suffolk, Tim suffered a suspected heart attack at 7:50 a.m. while running his morning breakfast show from his home in Lackford, England. He was just 55.
While working remotely, Gough’s colleagues were alerted to his medical emergency as the music abruptly stopped playing after he collapsed onto his mixing decks.
Colleagues grew concerned after they were unable to reach the radio host and called the emergency services to check on his welfare.
Tim was a strong supporter of the COVID-19 vaccine and was up to date on his boosters. In fact, he always encouraged his own listeners to get vaccinated and boosted.
