Democrats had just admitted that they had their “butts kicked” in recent months.
While their enthusiasm continues to pick up, Republicans have soundly defeated the left in the Sunshine State, Democrats are aware that their chances in Florida are growing slim. As they’ve been running on a failing program associated with the disastrous Joe Biden presidency.
Politico reports that the Sunshine State has the Biden White House and Democrats “stumped” as Democrats fail to see any victories in recent times.
During Biden’s presidency, the Florida legislature, along with DeSantis, challenged establishment media norms. This includes taking on vaccine mandates to championing parental rights. Now Democrats are thinking twice about dumping money into the state.
Democratic National Committee Finance Director Chris Korge said, according to Politico, “If you were to ask me, does Florida give you as good a return on investment as other places? Clearly right now it does not,”
“We got our butts kicked in Florida recently. Our butts kicked,” Korge said.
He continued by saying that Democratic leaders do not believe it is appropriate to entirely withdraw from the state, arguing that it would be wiser to make progress there before DeSantis gains more support, especially if he decides to run for president later in his political career.
“I think the White House absolutely thinks we need to be engaged there now rather than waiting until 2024 when it becomes more expensive to stop [DeSantis]. We are going to be engaged in the midterm and, you can quote me on this, the DNC is absolutely not giving up on Florida,” he said.
The White House will continue to focus on Florida for one simple reason, according to Orlando attorney and key Democratic donor John Morgan: “More electoral votes,” he wrote in a text message. “It’s not off the radar.”
But unfortunately for the left candidates, Florida voters are now rejecting big government, mandates, and especially the Democrats’ radical Left agenda, which is bankrupting the nation and draining the pockets of Americans.
Florida is leaning further right.
Christian Ziegler, vice chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, said earlier this month, that “Back in 2008 … there were 650,000 more Democrats in the state of Florida,”
“Today, we have 140,00 more Republicans in the state… So we’re approaching right there almost 800,000 net increase for the Republican Party of Florida because everything we’re doing here protecting and promoting freedom’s working,” he said.
