What One Teacher Did To A Student Who Wouldn’t Wear A Mask Is Beyond Sickening!

A Las Vegas mother claims a substitute teacher taped children’s face masks to their faces in a fourth-grade classroom.

A mom of a 9-year-old child is calling for a substitute teacher’s dismissal after an alleged incident happened inside a classroom that involves face coverings. The suspect is said to be a substitute teacher from Clark County School District in Nevada.

The mom spoke to FOX5 under the condition of anonymity, but want other parents to know what she said has happened at Reedom Elementary School in Mountain’s Edge.

“I was furious, furious. I was scared for my son on what kind of long-term effect it is going to have on him socially, the fact that the entire class was laughing,” she said.

According to the child’s mom, she saw another kid who she mistakenly identified as her son who also had tape over their faces to attach their mask.

“He went to get a sip of water, forgot to put the mask on. The teacher did not tell him to put it back on or send him to the office, she instead pulled him up in front of the classroom in front of all of the students and she then taped the mask across the top of his face,” she said.

The mom said the sub added a second layer of tape from his nose to his forehead, and with the tape still on his face, he went to the office to pick up homework he’d forgotten at home and his dad dropped off.

“When he went to the office to pick up that homework is when one of the administrators noticed the tape on his face,” she said.

Alarmed, that administrator took the tape off the child and alerted the principal who went to the classroom to investigate, she claimed.

“She saw another student who she thought was my son with tape on their face as well,” the mom said.
The mom said she later asked her son if other students also had their masks taped to their face and he told her yes. It had been happening in his classroom since the beginning of the school year, he said.

“He says that he remembers up to five,” the mom said.

“He was very upset. He was crying.” In the words of his mother, “He was humiliated.”

The event was reported to the Clark County School District, which released a statement.

“The district is aware of the isolated incident and is dealing with the employee through the proper channels. The principal proactively notified the family of the investigation.”

The student’s mother wants the replacement teacher to be held responsible for the event and to be barred from ever instructing children again in her child’s classroom.

“It’s crazy.” According to the mother, corporal punishment in schools should not be allowed to take place.

A police complaint has been filed according to the student’s mother and now planning to transfer to school.

Before the principal had arrived to the classroom where the incident happened, the administration already removed the tape from the child’s mouth before informing the principal.
