Watch Jewish Diplomat Destroy Anti-Semitic Ilhan Omar During Congressional Hearing Emmanuel February 16, 2019 Politics, Radical Islam Opinion| In the days following her viral anti-semitic tweets, Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar should have been apologizing and laying low, but instead she chose to attack Venezuelan special envoy Elliott Abrams, who just so happens to be Jewish. Conservative Tribune reported that “the two clashed on Wednesday during a hearing about the crisis in Venezuela held by the House Foreign Affairs Committee. But Omar, who is still sitting on the committee despite her antisemitism, asked Abrams loaded questions about his history in Latin America.” Before making her statement, the Democratic Minnesota Rep. had the nerve to imply that Abram’s commentary should be carefully considered due to his involvement in the Iran-Contra affair. “I fail to understand why members of this committee or the American people should find any testimony that you give today to be truthful,” Omar answered. Abrams tried to explain himself, however Omar decided to speak over him. “It is not right that members of this committee can attack a witness who is not permitted to reply,” Abrams stated. Conservative Tribune explains that this is when Omar “brought up the El Mozote Massacre, where more than 800 civilians were killed by the Salvadoran army in 1981. At the time, Abrams disputed the details of the massacre.” She alluded that Abrams was okay with the horrible tragedy and other forms of “genocide.” “Yes or no. Do you think that massacre was a fabulous achievement that happened under our watch?” she questioned. “Would you support an armed faction within Venezuela that engages in war crimes, crimes against humanity or genocide, if you believe they were serving U.S. interests, as you did in Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua?” she later asked. It wasn’t long before Abrams became tired of Omar’s line of questioning and decided to speak out. “I am not going to respond to that question. I’m sorry,” he said. “I don’t think this entire line of questioning is meant to be real questions, and so I will not reply,” Abrams continued. “That’s what happens when a known anti-Semite is on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. It’s not a coincidence that Omar would attempt to defame a well-known Jewish foreign policy expert,” explains Conservative Tribune of the conversation. Earlier in the week, Ilhan Omar was forced to apologize for her anti-semitic tweets, in which she referred to the Israel lobby. The President called for the freshman congresswoman’s resignation from Congress on Tuesday, insisting that she give up her post on the House Foreign Affairs Committee at the very least. “And I think she should either resign from Congress or she should certainly resign from the House Foreign Affairs Committee,” the President said.
