GoFundMe took down an account after it was reported that the beneficiary was an 18-year-old ADULT charged with shooting 3 people, Timothy George Simpkins.
It was so tragic that one of his victims was a 15-year-old child, who was shot 4 times and he’s currently in ICU for his condition remains critical.
WayneDupree reports noted, “Yet, even so, Timothy Simpkins has been released on bail, just in time to go home and have a party, and then get a “GoFundMe” fired up, even though his family lives in a new $400K dollar house.”
Breitbart reported on Thursday that Dallas-area attorney Kim T. Cole launched the GoFundMe with the goal of raising $25,000 for Simpkins, then attached a statement from his mother:
“What you don’t know is that Timothy was robbed at gunpoint and stripped of his possessions a couple of weeks ago … And the unfortunate backstory is that Timothy’s father was brutally beaten to death. This fact definitely heightened Timothy’s fear for his life, My son has gone through a very traumatic experience. He needs counseling and therapy.”
Before the account was taken down by GoFundMe, as it had violated GoFundMe terms and services and the total donations received was at $150.00 and a spokesperson for GoFundMe confirmed that all donors were promptly refunded.
Breitbard also added that Mr. Simpkins allegedly shot three people following a classroom fight at Timberview High School on Wednesday morning.
Many folks think the family was trying to cash in and strike it rich.
It also featured a note from Timothy’s mother claiming that the teen was being bullied by his schoolmates.
So, you shoot them?
