They Have Just Announced A Parent’s Bill Of Rights That Will…

A new bill titled “parent bill of rights” will soon allow parents to sue schools in the event they “fail to inform them [parents] about their child’s gender or social transition,” this is after the Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate have passed the said bill.

Wisconsin state is expected to be the next in line to adopt the “parent bill of rights,” which passed the state in February.

The Federalist report said, “The document of the bill is now sitting inside the office of Democratic Gov. Tony Evers. It mirrors bills advanced or alluded to in other states including Indiana, Texas, Kansas, Florida, Virginia, Missouri, and Georgia.”

Wisconsin is among a group of states including Indiana, Kansas, Texas, Florida, Virginia, Missouri, and Georgia that have either passed or teased similar legislation, along with the U.S. Senate.

The state legislation aims to remove the obvious issue in the public school system that would provide parents the support to sue the school for offenses that schools can commit.

Wisconsin’s bill mandates that parents have the following:

  • The right to review all medical records related to the child, unless specified otherwise in law or court order
  • The right to determine the names and pronouns used for the child while at school
  • The right to review instructional materials and outlines used by the child’s school.

The bill text also shows that parents are allowed to sue governmental bodies or school officials once they violate the rights of the parent as shown below:

  • the fundamental right of a parent or guardian to direct the upbringing
  • education
  • health care
  • the mental health of a child

One Wisconsin school district was sued for alleged hiding one child’s gender information from its parents. The child’s parents filed a lawsuit against the Kettle Moraine School District after they found out that their child started “social transition” wherein she was “presenting to others as the opposite sex, primarily by adopting a new name and pronouns.”

The complaint detailed “The Kettle Moraine School District has a policy, whether written or unwritten, allowing minor students to socially transition to a different gender identity at school without parental consent, and even over the parents’ objection.”

Another Wisconsin school district also said that parents are “entitled to know their kids’ identities.”
