Being that the end of the year is upon us we are going to be seeing a lot of year end type things in just about every facet ins society. We are going to be inundated with highlights of the past three hundred and sixty five and boy has a heck of a lot happened in the last year.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders recently gave New York Times journalist Paul Krugman the distinction of ‘worst prediction of the year.’
The reason is fairly obvious.
Krugman complained that the American economy would never recovery under a Trump presidency. Boy, was he wrong!
From Daily Caller: Sanders referenced Krugman’s Nov 9, 2016 declaration that “if the question is when markets will recover, a first-pass answer is never.” The Nobel Prize-winning economist continued “under any circumstances, putting an irresponsible, ignorant man who takes his advice from all the wrong people in charge of the nation with the world’s most important economy would be very bad news. What makes it especially bad right now, however, is the fundamentally fragile state much of the world is still in, eight years after the great financial crisis.”
Sanders slapped down a reporter regarding Hillary Clinton’s comments on President Trump’s alleged sexual accusers.
She said Hillary should deal with her own issues first before addressing the president’s.
From CNS News: White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders turned the tables Friday on a reporter who brought up Hillary Clinton’s comments about past sexual misconduct allegations against President Donald Trump.
“I talked to Hillary Clinton today about the president’s past — and going back to what Matthew said, she said, look, I worry about everything from his past because it tells you how he behaves in the present and will in the future. What do you say to that as it relates to these allegations against the president?” American Urban Radio Network White House Correspondent April Ryan asked during the White House briefing.
Ryan was referring to an earlier reporter’s question about whether it’s still the White House’s position that the women who have accused Trump of sexual misconduct are lying.
Trump sent a tweet calling Clinton the ‘biggest loser of all time’ and urged her to run for president again in three years.
From Fox News: President Trump on Saturday criticized Hillary Clinton, the Democrat he defeated in the 2016 White House race, for her recent and repeated questioning of the election results.
“Crooked Hillary Clinton is the worst (and biggest) loser of all time,” Trump tweeted. “She just can’t stop, which is so good for the Republican Party. Hillary, get on with your life and give it another try in three years!”
The Republican president was likely responding to a Mother Jones interview published Friday in which Clinton questioned last year’s election results, amid evidence that Russia tried to influence the race outcome. She called for an independent commission to investigate the matter.
