The greatest people in our country have always been our military veterans. They are asked quite often to do things that might cause them permanent injury for the safety of others. Liberals just don’t get that. As we honor and thank all our Veterans and their families for their service to our nation today, President Trump will be attending the Veterans Day Parade in New York City. President Donald Trump will be opening the Veterans Day Parade this morning with a speech, making history as the 1st sitting president to accept the invitation. Veterans have invited the sitting president to attend the event every year for 25 years. This is the 100th anniversary NYC Veterans Day Parade! President Trump has a long history of supporting the Veterans Day Parade and Veterans in NYC: In 1995, parade organizers had only $1.21 in the bank account for the event. They had after received nothing from 200 corporations, The New York Times reported. Donald Trump stepped up with a large donation for the event of about $375,000, parade organizer Vincent McGowan told CNN in 2016. Trump’s contribution started a windfall of donations to the parade’s organizers and the show was able to go on. He also gave $1 million to help build the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza in NYC.
