As we previously reported, Democratic Representative of California, Nancy Pelosi, and Democratic Representative from New York, Chuck Schumer, claimed to be offended by President Donald Trump’s decision to leave their scheduled meeting in which they were to discuss our country’s border security and the partial government shutdown.
Schumer says President Trump "slammed the table," walked out of a meeting and called it "a waste of time" after Nancy Pelosi said she wouldn't agree to his border wall https://t.co/jKtBu6rkzC pic.twitter.com/YtbrJi5cob

It’s ridiculous for Pelosi and Schumer to think that Trump would bend to conform to their demands. The fact that they have claimed that they would reopen the government if negotiations on the border wall were to continue separately is totally insane.
Trump knows that isn’t going to happen. During their meeting, this was confirmed by Pelosi, which is precisely why Trump walked out of it.
After the fact, Trump tweeted, “Just left a meeting with Chuck and Nancy, a total waste of time. I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO. I said bye-bye, nothing else works!”

Phil Mattingly wrote, “GOP Senator: ‘Nobody who was in that meeting will tell you the President is going to budge any time soon. He’s dug in, and made clear we all need to be with him.”

Top Republicans slammed Pelosi and Schumer, as well.

Mark Knoller tweeted that “House GOP Whip @SteveScalise says ‘nobody slammed a hand on a table,’ as Schumer said Pres Trump did. He said Pelosi’s ‘no’ on oferring (offering) any support for a border wall is ‘not an acceptable answer’ to the serious problems on the border.”

It’s pretty clear that there must be cameras set up for the next meeting.
Mark Knoller also tweeted, “Pelosi’s ‘no’ on a border wall, might serve to move Pres Trump to declare a national emergency to circumvent Congress and get funding for a border wall.”
