One thing about being in politics that I know people seem to think is that they get to spend money freely on anything and can just write it off as government business.

Hardly the case, at least now when it is supposed to work properly. Now, there are some politicians that have their own code of ethics when it comes to spending government money. Shoot, I know of one politician that would pay for his meals out of his own pocket and then use whatever travel per diem he got to offset the cost and not the other way around.

Then you have people like Ilhan Omar, who are cut from the cloth of seeing how much money she can steal from the American people.

Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar’s divorce from her husband became final this week but she’s still facing an investigation over trips that were paid for by her campaign. The trips are all related to trips Omar made with the man she was having an extramarital relationship with during her campaign.

The Daily Mail reports that conservative National Legal and Policy Center last month filed an amended version of a complaint lodged earlier into Omar’s campaign spending. The group is asking the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to investigate several payments made by Omar’s campaign to Mynett’s company, The E Street Group.

Ilhan’s campaign paid Mynett’s company more than $369,000 since hiring him in August of 2018 up until this past September.

The complaint to the FEC is concerning travel with Mynett that Omar made that could be considered “romantic companionship” and therefore personal travel instead of a campaign travel expense.

‘If Ilhan for Congress reimbursed Mynett’s LLC for travel so that Rep. Omar would have the benefit of Mynett’s romantic companionship, the expenditure must be considered personal in nature.’

Mynett’s wife Beth has filed for divorce.

Our previous report on Rep. Ilhan Omar’s relationship with Tim Mynett:

On July 31, 2019, a grainy video of Rep. Ilhan Omar (S-MN) leaving an out of the way restaurant in Playa Del Rey with a mystery man was released by a Jewish man who lives in CA. The unnamed person who took the video claims he was upset by Omar’s comments at a CAIR (Council For American-Islamic Relations) event the day before.

The Somalian refugee turned U.S Congresswoman told the room full of Muslims at the CAIR event that they should be tired of being mistreated in America and should fight back. When recalling the events of 9-11, Rep. Ilhan Omar referred to the Islamic terrorists responsible for the worst terror attack on American soil as, “some people did something.” She has also been criticized for her anti-Semitic remarks.

One week before the video was released, The Daily Mail reported that Rep. Ilhan Omar and Ahmed Hirsi, the father of her three children had split up and were heading for another divorce.

The 12-second video, obtained exclusively by DailyMailTV, shows Omar and her companion leaving  a romantic, out-of-the-way Italian restaurant in California the day after she had made controversial remarks blaming 9/11 on ‘someone doing something.’

The New York Post is now reporting that according to a longtime friend, Rep. Ilhan Omar’s marriage appears to be headed for the rocks.

The congresswoman’s husband, Ahmed Hirsi, the source said, is poised to file for divorce after the revelation in a bombshell court filing that she allegedly had an affair with DC political consultant Tim Mynett.
