A firecracker of a tale came on newsstands a month before Joe Biden was elected to the White House and failed to go off. It has finally exploded about a year and a half later.
Long ignored and dismissed as a possible Russian disinformation campaign, a collection of emails describing Biden’s wayward son Hunter’s business transactions is finally being accepted as legitimate, amid evidence that they are part of a potential tax fraud and money laundering probe.
On Thursday, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., warned the Biden White House against destroying information linked to the Hunter Biden laptop incident, stating that if Republicans take control of the House in the midterm elections this fall, they will examine it.
Issa tweeted Thursday evening, specifically signaling out Biden’s White House press secretary and his chief of staff, “Today, I put this White House — including Jen Psaki and Ron Klain — on notice: Don’t delete or destroy any evidence of your coordination and collusion in the Hunter Biden laptop scandal.”

Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son, made headlines in 2019 when the FBI took his “laptop from hell,” as President Donald Trump dubbed it during his reelection campaign in 2020. The laptop in question was apparently dropped off by Hunter at a computer repair business in Delaware in 2019 and was later seized by the FBI, according to the Washington Examiner.
“Tonight, I’m calling for a Congressional investigation into how big tech, mainstream media, and the Democrat industrial complex colluded to suppress the Hunter Biden scandals — and during the last days of the 2020 election” Rep. Issa tweeted.

While the legacy media has consistently claimed that Hunter Biden’s laptop story is “baseless” or “contrived,” the New York Post (NYP) reported on Friday that, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll, 66 percent of Americans believe the contents of the laptop and its connection to Joe Biden is important.
Hunter’s laptop, too many Americans, appears to be much more than a trivial, passing scandal. The computer contains many text messages, emails, photos, videos, and even financial documents between Hunter and his family and those he was doing business with, the NYP reported.
The California Republican told Fox News on Thursday, “We already know for a fact that Big Tech colluded with some of the nation’s most powerful media and most influential Democrat partisans in the intelligence community to suppress the truth, censor fact-based journalism, and cover for the Biden family,Now the full truth and complete accountability must follow.”
He is sending notice letters to Psaki and Klain, as well as Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, several former U.S. intelligence officials, and others.
“I write to request you immediately initiate document preservation for all materials relating to questions, inquiry, conversation, strategy, and response, from 2020 to current, to the media reporting of the Hunter Biden laptop and/or its contents that first appeared in the New York Post on October 14, 2020,” Issa said in the letters which Fox obtained.
“Material preservation is essential for Congress to conduct a comprehensive fact-finding investigation into actions by technology companies, media organization and political allies to suppress information and prevent public awareness of matters involving the Biden Family,” he wrote.
