Sometime Thursday, the United Nations is planning to have a vote regarding the move by President Trump and the United States recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

In response, U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley indicated that America would be “watching” the people who vote against the United States. Now, President Donald Trump is offering his own take on the matter.

Trump said:“Like the message that Nikki said at the United Nations. For all of these nations that take our money and then they vote against us at the Security Council, or they vote against us potentially at the assembly.

They take hundreds of millions of dollars, and even billions of dollars, and then they vote against us.

Well we’re watching those votes. Let them vote against us. We’ll save a lot. We don’t care.

But this isn’t like it used to be, where they could vote against you and then you pay them hundreds of millions of dollars and nobody knows what they’re doing.”

The president closed by saying that he intends for the United States to not be taken advantage of anymore. According to Reuters, he also threatened to cut funding for nations who vote against the Jerusalem decision.

You can watch his comments in the video below.

The issue as it comes to moving the capital as it is recognized by the United States is really one of those things where too many people are claiming that there is going to be some sort of an issue when it comes to fighting among Israelis and Palestinians.

I don’t exactly know how to break it to people that are against the move of the capital and embassy but they have been fighting for forever and a day and are going to keep fighting.

Over and above that the United Nations needs to realize that out of all the things that they could take issue with that they don’t even bother lifting a finger over the notion that the movement of an embassy being the thing that sets them off just makes the organization look like fools.
