DeSantis Slams Kamala for Calling Trump a Fascist, Claims She’s Playing a “Dangerous Game”

As Donald Trump gains ground in the polls, the Democrats have turned to their old, faithful insult: comparing him to Hitler. It’s an extreme, worn-out tactic that resurfaces whenever the left feels backed into a corner. With Kamala Harris struggling in the polls, it seems they’re playing this card to divert attention from the grim reality facing their candidate.

These Hitler comparisons aren’t new, and Americans have seen it all before. As Trump climbs in popularity, the left pulls out these inflammatory labels, hoping voters will forget what they saw firsthand during his time in office. But, as one Trump supporter put it, “If they’re resorting to name-calling, it’s because they’re fresh out of ideas.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis addressed the issue head-on during an appearance on Jesse Watters Primetime, condemning what he calls the “dangerous game” Democrats are playing with this divisive rhetoric. DeSantis specifically called out Vice President Harris, who recently labeled Trump a “fascist leader” at a campaign rally in Wisconsin. He also criticized other Democratic leaders and media figures who continue pushing the Hitler narrative to stoke fear and rally their base.

As DeSantis pointed out, “He was president for four years, guys. People can watch and see what happened. I didn’t see that happen in those four years.” For him, these comparisons don’t just lack basis in reality; they’re divisive and risk widening the already vast gap in America.

The Florida governor also noted that the left’s tactic seems to rely on convincing Americans that Trump’s re-election would end democracy itself. “If they’re convincing you as a voter that American democracy will end if Donald Trump is president, you can see why we have some of the problems that we do,” he said.

Desperation or Strategy?

DeSantis went further, attributing these attacks to “desperation” as Democrats grasp for anything that might sway voters. “They’re hoping that calling him a fascist will turn people away, but it’s just insulting to the American people’s intelligence,” he explained. This rhetorical strategy highlights a crucial truth: Democrats are reaching for insults because they know their policies and promises aren’t striking a chord with the public.

Meanwhile, many Americans who saw Trump’s presidency firsthand know these comparisons don’t hold water. The “fascist” label may resonate within certain echo chambers, but it’s clear that this language is alienating more voters than it’s winning.

In an era where people crave unity, this divisive talk only fuels resentment and hostility. As DeSantis put it, the left’s rhetoric reflects “how far they’re willing to go,” even if it deepens the divide.
