Yet ANOTHER Massive Recall Of Chicken Has Just Taken Place!

A food company has recalled about 585,030 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken breasts because the product may be undercooked.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, Wayne Farms of Decatur, Alabama, had issued a recall in April for 30,285 pounds of chicken.

Now, 585,030 pounds of chicken are recalled.

The recall includes:

  • All Natural Fire Grilled Chicken Breast, 9-pound cases with 8 packages of 6-ounce breasts with use by dates from May 10, 2022, to April 29, 2023
  • All Natural Fire Grilled Chicken Breast, 9-pound cases with 12 packages of 4-ounce breasts with use by dates from May 10, 2022, to April 29, 2023.
  • All-Natural Fire-Grilled Chicken Breast Fillet, 6-pound cases with 24 packages of 4-ounce breasts with a use-by date of March 5, 2023.
  • Chef’s Craft Chicken Breast Fillet, 16-ounce zippered plastic packages, and a best-by date of March 23, 2023.

The products all have the establishment number EST. 20214 printed on them.

There have been no complaints of adverse reactions to the chicken, according to the FSIS. When a diner complained that the chicken was undercooked, the fault was uncovered.

The agency said in a statement:

“FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ or restaurants’ freezers or refrigerators. Consumers are urged not to eat these products. Restaurants are urged not to serve these products. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.”

Between February 9 and April 20, the chicken packets were created and distributed to distributors across the United States as well as retail locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

The packages include the manufacture codes 23618, 24357, 24512, 24583, and 24957 on them, as well as 66 various “use by” dates that range from May 10, 2022, to April 4, 2023. FSIS shared photographs of many types of packaging and manufacturing codes. They are not photographs of the recalled boxes.

Food poisoning can be caused by eating undercooked chicken, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC states that 1 million individuals fall sick every year from eating infected poultry.

The chicken was shipped to distributors nationwide and further distributed to restaurants and retail locations.

The FSIS said, “The problem was discovered when the firm received a customer complaint that the RTE chicken product appeared to be undercooked.”

Customers can return the chicken to the place of purchase.
