Trump Shreds Obama’s Freeloader Policy: You Can’t Live On Your Welfare Check Anymore Emmanuel August 30, 2017 Welfare Liberals are pissed about this one! President Trump just ended Obama’s efforts to waive work requirements for welfare, effectively giving America a hand up instead of hand outs. The Trump administration issued a memorandum informing states that work requirements will be restored for the welfare received under the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. This is great news for everyone, though liberals won’t see it that way. Now those who need the assistance will be motivated to find work and won’t stay on it long term and taxpayers won’t be supporting families who are capable of working. Breitbart| “Re-emphasizing the work requirements in the welfare program means once again promoting gainful employment and economic independence as goals for every family,” said Acting Assistant Secretary for Children and Families Steven Wagner in a statement. “The waiver option offered by the Obama administration is being replaced today by an expectation that work should always be encouraged as a condition for receiving welfare.” Republicans famously passed work requirements for welfare recipients during the Clinton administration, but the Obama administration wanted to loosen them for individual states. The way the system was running under Obama, they had people enabled by the state’s to stay at home. They are told DO NOT WORK or you will lose your benefits. How sick is that?? How does this help anyone? They’re being rewarded for not working. This is a wonderful change by the Trump administration! Working is a great thing! It makes people feel worthy, gives them a sense of accomplishment, boosts self esteem, they make friends, they socialize, they network… Trust us liberals, this is a GOOD thing! It’s called tough love. Whether the recipients realize it or not, this is going to change their worlds for the better. No better feeling than accomplishing something, live the American Dream!
