What This Woman Did In Walmart Had Another Customer In Tears… kristel January 17, 2022 Uncategorized Having a baby is a huge responsibility. Parents are probably aware of how expensive it is to have a child. Even if you’re not a parent, that’s a pretty obvious thing. Considering the food, milk, food, and diapers. And speaking of diapers, this one story might give you a different meaning when you think of diapers next time after reading this. Katie Kanefke and her husband Jimmy (Photo Credit: Facebook) Katie Kanefke, a new mom went to Walmart recently, attempting to stock up on her supply of diapers. All that she had in her cart were four boxes of diapers for her 4-month-old son. She was planning on using price matching to get a discount on the diapers, but the range up at $120, with the store only giving her the price-matched discount on the first box. Without the price-match on all four boxes, the purchase would put Katie over her monthly budget. Since every little bit helps, she decided to keep one of the 148-count packages of Pampers but the other three were set aside. Carol Flynn, a 73-year-old grandmother noticed that the mom was only getting one of the four boxes of diapers, she jumped in front of Katie. Soon, Katie would be crying in the parking lot and Carol would be going viral on social media. Katie Kanefke was trying to buy diapers for her son Marcus. She then produced her credit card and instructed the cashier to ring them up. Carol put a comforting hand on Katie’s shoulder and encouraged her to pay it forward someday for someone else when she is able. “I was standing in line and there was kind of a hold-up,” Flynn said. “I’m not impatient in my older days, but I noticed this young lady was standing at the checkout. I walked over to her, put my arm on my shoulder and I asked, ‘Is there a problem?'” “I couldn’t believe it. I was shocked. I kept saying thank you and God bless you,” Katie recalled. “Then I walked out in the parking lot and started crying. It just hit me.” The spur-of-the-moment generosity not only left Katie in tears, but it also moved Jason, who knew such an act of kindness deserved to be shared and posted the clip he captured on social media. Carol, who said she just wanted to help someone else, had no idea she was becoming an internet sensation until she picked up her phone the following day. She said she didn’t do it for a pat on the back, though. She did it because she felt it was simply something that needed to be done. “You can’t take it with you,” Flynn says of the $120 she spent on diapers for an unknown baby. “I just think we should do things like that. That’s kind of my thinking.” Jason Yoshino, a local wedding entertainer, posted the video on his Facebook page Sunday night. The clip shows Flynn buying three large packages of Pampers diapers for a young woman. As of Monday afternoon, the video had been “liked” by more than 4,000 people and shared more than 1,000 times.
