After receiving his food ration, a 28-year-old Afghan refugee posted his sentiments and complained using his iPhone and a Twitter account about the ration being served at Ft. Bliss right now.

Though the food he received doesn’t really look “scrumptious” or anything, this is not the kind of response we deserve after helping refugees from Afghanistan and a real “refugee” has a kind and humble heart and be thankful for anything that he’s been given?

What he has posted seems to be a very ungrateful and out-of-line attitude if you ask me.

According to the New York Post report:

An Afghan refugee faced online harassment after tweeting out a photo showing his meager food rations at Fort Bliss in El Paso.

Hamed Ahmadi, 28, a Fulbright semi-finalist, tweeted the photo showing some anemic chicken slices and fruit to highlight the unglamorous life he now faced as a refugee.

“The point of that tweet was not … to be complaining, to be very critical,” Mr. Ahmadi told The Independent. “I was just describing a situation of Afghan refugees that are in the situation that they never really wanted to be in.”

Unfortunately, Twitter isn’t the place for nuance and he found himself quickly inundated by trolls telling him to “go back to Afghanistan.”

“If I had more space [on Twitter], I would have added more explanation – because I wanted to say that this is the refugee life. And we need to be patient,” Ahmadi said.

Here’s what Hamed said: “Not complaining but this is what I got last night for dinner and the next meal is 12 hours later. Refugee life might be safe but never easy & favorable. Fort Bliss El Paso Texas.”

Well, actually, he is complaining…

And here are some of the comments from folks online:

“I was unable to reach a homeless veteran to ask how they like their free meals and free housing because they don’t get those things. Also, they don’t have iPhones.”

“Just think, shortly you’ll be able to get a job and support yourself. Then you won’t be dependent on American taxpayers to feed you at no cost to you.”

“So we rescued you from Afghanistan and are giving you food that the taxpayers are paying for and you have the nerve to complain? In the words of @RealBrysonGray

“if you don’t like this country you can leave”.”

“Seriously? You come here and then complain about the rations? Go home then where the food is more to your liking.”

“looks like some agitators made it in.”

“This guy will be the first one running for congress because America is so mean and evil”

“Great, he’s got the same shitty attitude as Ilhan Omar”
“Why are you hiding that bread?? Unbelievable!! Go back!”

“Go back, we don’t want this sick ingrateful attitude here”

“We still have Americans left in Afghanistan, but this ungrateful jerk is here?”

“I see more food but you cropped it out with your free iPhone”

“It’s better than a lot of the meals I ate while spending 18 months in your country doing what you wouldn’t.”

Shameful.

When a country takes you and helps you from your harmful state, you should be thankful instead of complaining.
