President Donald Trump promises Americans that he wants to lower the number of people in the country receiving public assistance/welfare.
The President would like to get people off welfare receiving benefits and back to work in order to preserve our safety net for the Americans who are truly struggling and need help.
Trump stated:
“That’s why I believe the time has come for new immigration rules which say that those seeking admission into our country must be able to support themselves financially and should not use welfare for a period of at least five years.”
Now he is staying true to his promises, and American taxpayers might finally get a little break.
According to americannews:
Millions of people were able to get on welfare during Barack Obama’s time in office, which basically means they were given the opportunity to freeload off of American taxpayers’ hard work. Unfortunately, an entitlement mentality was created by this and it has spread like wildfire ever since.
A fight broke out at a welfare office in South St. Louis. Kings and Queens living high off of their welfare checks lost it when they found out that they might not be receiving their benefits. The video above this story perfectly depicts the freeloading culture that Obama has imposed on our country.
Since coming into office, Donald Trump has started work on getting as many people off of welfare as possible. This was made clear back in May, when his budget was released that required able-bodied to work in order to receive their benefits.
Trump wrote this in a letter to Congress accompanied by his proposed budget: “We must reform our welfare system so that it does not discourage able-bodied adults from working, which takes away scarce resources from those in real need. Work must be the center of our social policy.”
This week, Mick Mulvaney, Trump’s budget director, made it very clear that people must have a job in order to be eligible for food stamps going forward.
“If you’re on food stamps and you’re able-bodied, then we need you to go to work,” he said.
‘SHARE’ this story if you are glad that in Trump’s America, people will actually have to WORK to get help from the government.
