WATCH: He Shined A Laser Pointer At A Helicopter. He QUICKLY Realized How Big A Mistake It Was….

I’ve done some things in my life that I later came to realize were probably about as dumb as a sack of hammers.

Like sledding behind a van in a satellite dish for example. Yeah, not exactly my finest moment. The point I suppose, is that you can go ahead and do silly things; even dumb things all you want provided they do not impact the safety of someone else. That’s when you get into the territory of just plain being an ass.

Now, anyone that owns a cat or was within fifty miles of a party store in the 1990s will know what a laser pointer is. They started out pretty innocent actually, until people starting getting these ones that could literally blind someone

We have all done some pretty stupid things in our lives, nobody is perfect. But some things just shouldn’t be avoided at all costs and we should all know better. Like shining a laser pointer at an aircraft, probably not a bright idea. Watch below.

Chris Vowles was with friends, drinking in the back garden of a house, when he targeted the National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter with a laser pointer.

The crew was disorientated as the green light bounced around through the cabin.  They used powerful thermal imaging cameras to locate the lasers source. They found Vowles laughing and toasting the successful laser attack with fellow drinkers. Watch what happens next below:

I think it is safe to say Chris learned his lesson. He was sentenced to a seven month suspended prison sentence and 250 hours of community service with countless fees as well.
