They Told Her To Stop Breastfeeding Her Cat, And Then It Got Weird…

Passengers and cabin crew of Delta Airlines were disrupted while onboard in a flight from Syracuse, New York, to Atlanta, Georgia when a breastfeeding woman refused to follow what the cabin crew was asking her. The said woman was reportedly breastfeeding her own hairless cat while onboard.

A flight attendant politely asked her to stop what she was doing, however; she refused to listen and still continued to breastfeed her pet.

According to the message, which was sent through the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS), a passenger in seat 13A ‘is breastfeeding a cat and will not put the cat back in its carrier when [flight attendant] requested.’

The airline’s Flight Attendant Ainsley Elizabeth posted more details on her TikTok account on November 13.

“This woman had one of those, like, hairless cats swaddled up in a blanket so it looked like a baby. Her shirt was up and she was trying to get the cat to latch and she wouldn’t put the cat back in the carrier. And the cat was screaming for its life.”

Elizabeth also shared on her Tiktok video that there was security involved during the incident and wasn’t sure of what happened with the woman and the cat after the airplane touched down in Atlanta.

Though Delta Airlines allows women to breastfeed their child onboard this won’t be applicable for pets and animals. The airlines also allow boarding small dogs and cats as “emotional support animals” into the cabin during a flight, but they must stay in a carrier under the seat in front for the entire flight.

A request by a Delta employee who sent the video was also made to have Delta’s Red Coat team meet the uncooperative pet owner on the ground upon landing. According to the Airline’s website, its Red Coat is an elite airport customer service expert, identifiable by their bright red coats and that are specially trained to handle on-the-stop customer issues.
