Tensions are escalating as Republicans persist in their pursuit for transparency regarding President Joe Biden’s elusive Delaware home visitor logs, but to their dismay, the U.S. Secret Service continues to withhold this vital information.

Interestingly, this refusal came despite a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to disclose such details. Biden’s residences in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, appear to be shrouded in secrecy, making one wonder what our president might be hiding.

The Secret Service response is more disturbing, however, because they declare such emails relating to visitors are not agency records that the FOIA can request. This statement reveals a blatant disregard for transparency, an act that calls into question the intentions of our Democrat-led administration. The NY Post reported that its own FOIA request yielded no results, with the Secret Service claiming a lack of records for Biden’s Delaware visitors. Should we not be perturbed by this flagrant absence of accountability?

The questionable handling of the request brings to light a controversial federal appeals court ruling in New York concerning visitor information for former President Donald Trump’s residences. However, it’s crucial to note that this ruling does not bind the actions of officials in Delaware or DC. This brings into question the Secret Service’s application of this ruling and their intent to keep information related to Biden’s visitors concealed.

Earlier this year, amid scandalous allegations of Biden’s illegal possession of classified documents, the Secret Service claimed to be “gathering” information about the visitors to his Wilmington home. This raises serious concerns about Biden’s handling of sensitive information, a matter of national security that shouldn’t be taken lightly. The list of visitors to his residence, and potentially other locations where he stashed classified documents, including his private office at the Penn Biden Center, is of significant public interest.

Republican senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson took an assertive stance, requesting visitor logs from the Secret Service, a move that should be applauded for their efforts to unveil the truth. The Secret Service’s response was again vague, saying they are working through “appropriate channels” to find information responsive to the congressional inquiries. Are these evasive replies not indicative of a lack of transparency from our government agencies?

The Secret Service does not keep formal visitor logs for protected residences, according to spokesman Anthony Guglielmi. This raises the question: why not? Surely, the safety of our nation’s leader calls for meticulous records, especially regarding visitors. Although the agency supposedly maintains some records of contractors or workers and those with criminal histories visiting protected sites, is this enough for true transparency?

Adding to the worrying narrative is the discovery of classified documents carelessly stored in Biden’s garage, alongside his vintage Chevrolet Corvette, at the Wilmington location. This cavalier attitude towards national security documents raises yet more questions about Biden’s handling of his official responsibilities.

Despite initial denial, the Secret Service admitted to possessing some records of visitors to Biden’s Delaware residence. Still, these records are not being made public, another clear evasion of accountability. Such secrecy surrounding a president’s private home, where no official visitor logs are kept, should be a matter of public concern.

And Biden’s troubles are far from over. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer made a potentially incriminating claim against former President Barack Obama. He suggested that Obama may have been aware of the Biden family’s suspicious international business dealings, which have been under federal investigation for years.

Comer’s allegations put forward a compelling argument: did Obama’s knowledge of the Biden family’s dealings influence his reluctance to endorse Biden’s presidential campaign in 2020 fully?

This series of events paints a worrying picture of the current administration’s disregard for transparency and accountability. The intentional shrouding of information and evasive actions serve only to erode public trust. The public deserves answers, and it’s high time the Biden administration came clean about its dealings. Only through relentless pursuit of truth can we ensure that our leaders are held to the standards they claim to uphold.
