Support for the Border Wall Reaches a Record High as Congress Continues to Fight Over Funding.

In a new poll, more Americans are in support of a border wall as Congress continues to stonewall the President over funding.

An ABC/Washington Post poll was released on Sunday, revealing what Americans think about the government shutdown and border security.

788 adults were polled in January and the majority of the group were democrats and independents.

IJR:

“According to the poll, 42 percent of respondents support the border wall. In a 2017 poll, only 37 percent said they supported the wall. While the majority still opposes the idea of a wall, the higher polling shows a slow change in opinion to support the wall.”

However, when it comes to the government shutdown, a whopping 53% blame President Trump instead of the democrats who refuse to make a deal on funding for the wall.

Since the government shutdown began, President Trump has spent his time in Washington D.C. and at the border, working hard to show democrats why the wall is so important.

Democrats, on the other hand, have taken trips to Hawaii and Puerto Rico to mix some business with pleasure. Pictures have been shared of democrats relaxing on a sunny tropical beach as many Americans go without pay.

President Trump slammed democrats for their failure to stay in Washington to seriously work on a deal for border security.

The future of the government shutdown, that has surpassed record lengths, is uncertain. Democrats are calling the border crisis “manufactured” and the border wall “racist,” so it’s hard to say where this will go next.
