MSM Already Deciding OPRAH Will Go Against Trump In 2020

Awards shows are something that are darn near a complete waste of time at this point in society. So are talk shows, and there was no bigger host than Oprah.

All it is anymore is a live butt kissing session and a chance for people to complain that someone wasn’t politically correct enough.

It’s also where the people in Hollywood that haven’t been accused of sexual assault yet go to make their grand political statements that amount to being nothing more than a dry fart in a wind tunnel.

As the Golden Globes ceremony was being broadcast across America on Sunday, NBC’s official Twitter account posted a tweet that essentially declared Oprah Winfrey to be America’s next president.

“Nothing but respect for OUR future president. #GoldenGlobes,” read the tweet, which has since been deleted.

Washington Examiner columnist Byron York captured it, though.

Now fast forward to Monday morning, when, in response to the backlash it received for this tweet, NBC reportedly blamed a third party for it.

“Yesterday a tweet about the Golden Globes and Oprah Winfrey was sent by a third party agency for NBC Entertainment in real time during the broadcast,” the network announced, according to Fox News. “It is in reference to a joke made during the monologue and not meant to be a political statement. We have since removed the tweet.”

Ben Shapiro of The Daily Wire notes that NBC’s original tweet did admittedly follow “Golden Globes host Seth Meyers joking about Oprah Winfrey receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award.”

During the joke, Meyers made it clear he wants Oprah to run for president in 2020. So that part of NBC’s statement is valid.

As noted by Shapiro, however, this fact is ultimately irrelevant, “since it wasn’t a quote from Meyers — it was NBC signaling its support for Oprah as future president.”

Exactly. It was one of the most powerful broadcast networks in the country openly displaying its bias against President Donald Trump by throwing support behind Winfrey, a woman who leans far, far, far to the left.

In fact, The Washington Times points out that speculation had been running rampant “long before Sunday night that Oprah might be the Democrats’ best bet, if that was her desire, to give Mr. Trump a trouncing in the 2020 presidential elections — if he chose to seek a second term.”

Look, NBC knew exactly what it was doing Sunday when it posted a tweet celebrating Winfrey as America’s next president: It was saying to the world it desperately wants a Democrat to beat Trump come 2020.

And by saying this, NBC provided yet another example of the liberal media’s anti-Trump and anti-conservative bias, according to Media Research Center vice president Dan Gainor.

“This was shocking, even given all of the anti-Trump bias in the press,” he told Fox. “I’m sure NBC will say it’s just a joke and try to move on.”

That’s exactly what NBC attempted to do, but I’m not buying its excuse — and neither should you. Let me be clear: There’s a reason why we conservatives, including President Donald Trump and his family, refer to the establishment media as the liberal media.
