Has Massive Cartel Drug Money Purchased U.S. Politicians Opposition to the Wall? Emmanuel January 30, 2019 Government Corruption Opinion| Two weeks ago the New York Times reported the following from the trial of Mexican drug kingpin, El Chapo: The former president of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, took a $100 million bribe from Joaquín Guzmán Loera, the infamous crime lord known as El Chapo, according to a witness at Mr. Guzman’s trial. The stunning testimony was delivered Tuesday in a New York courtroom by Alex Cifuentes Villa, a Colombian drug lord who worked closely with Mr. Guzmán from 2007 to 2013. That’s a whole lotta of green until you realize that international drug trafficking is estimated to have surpassed $10 Trillion annually worldwide with the United States the most lucrative market. Even a trillion dollars in payoffs to corrupt officials would be chump change compared to the tax rates that corporations are forced to pay. That raises the question, given certain politicians’ intransigence on improving border security, whether El Chapo and/or other cartel leaders have bought their fealty, as well. Mexico is considered an ally with shared values. Just ask Nancy Pelosi who was quoted discussing a May 2016 visit to Mexico . From the Rio Grande Guardian: “We come here as a bipartisan and large delegation to express our respect for the people of Mexico and the country of Mexico; to acknowledge our shared border and our shared values…” “… And then we had a glorious meeting, a really very thorough exchange of subjects and views – again about our shared values and our shared border – with the President [of Mexico].” It’s not as though suspicions of such corruption would be a one-off. There were also questions about bribes swirling around “Western politicians” after they agreed to the JCPOA (Iran Nuclear Deal) because of how one-sided it was in Iran’s favor. There was a reason that $1.7 Billion in cash was sent to Iran by the Obama administration. This tweet from Raman Ghavami fueled the speculation: H.J.Ansari Zarif’s senior advisor: “If Europeans stop trading with Iran and don’t put pressure on US then we will reveal which western politicians and how much money they had received during nuclear negotiations to make #IranDeal happen.”That would be interesting.#JCPOA — Raman Ghavami (@Raman_Ghavami) May 8, 2018 Comforting yourself in the belief that American politicians aren’t equally as susceptible as Enrique Peña Nieto to easy money – untraceable cash money at that – may be grossly naive. There are still many questions left unanswered by a corrupted FBI concerning the Uranium One deal, the Obama administration, Hillary Clinton and $145 million in curiously timed “donations” to the Clinton Foundation. From this perspective, now tell me with a straight face why politicians like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell, etc., have done not nearly enough about the flow of cocaine and heroin flowing into the U.S. from Mexico if it isn’t about money? It is a question deserving of investigation. Below is Twitter user, Jeffery Peterson’s personal take on the crisis: Do your research, Patriots. Want to understand why #Mexico is able to keep Speaker Pelosi in a choke hold? Want to understand so many mysterious things that have been happening in D.C. for years, that seem to be getting worse?
