Sad day in Salt Lake City as one of the police officers got injured after deflecting a gunshot from a four-year-old boy.
In Midvale, Salt Lake City, a father got enraged at workers at McDonald’s drive-thru who got his order wrong.
Police were called by the employees after the father, Sadaat Johnson have brandished his gun in the drive-thru.
KUTV reported:
“The incident began Monday afternoon when a man took his two children to the McDonald’s location at 425 West and 7200 South, just off the east of the interchange with I-15.
It was then that police said the man told his 4-year-old to shoot the gun. They saw a small hand and arm appear from inside the door.”
An attentive officer was able to hit the gun as it was fired, directing the bullet upwards, where it struck an overhead awning. The child’s 3-year-old sibling was also in the backseat of the vehicle.

New York Post further explained:
“Johnson then allegedly instructed his son to shoot at police officers as he was being taken into custody by responding cops after McDonald’s workers called 911, Sgt. Melody Cutler said.”
“I’ve been in law enforcement for 27 years and I’ve never seen anything like this,” Cutler said. “That a 4-year-old even knows how to utilize a firearm and point it at an officer and pull the trigger is incredibly disturbing.” She added.
Johnson was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of felony child abuse and threatening the use of a dangerous weapon. The 3- and 4-year-olds were placed in the custody of the Division of Child and Family Services.
