I have seen walkouts before, you have to understand that sometimes it is the only way to get a message across that people are not going to take someone’s crap anymore.
I might have told the story before, but it bears repeating. We had a guy at a place I worked at once that was pretty much harassing every female employee. It became his job almost. Eventually, it got to the point where nobody would want to work with the guy and the ladies banded together to tell the management that they were not going to do any more shifts with the guy.
He ended up quitting after being given so few hours that he would have had to find another job anyway.
Now, there are Democrats that you can halfway have a conversation with and then there are the out and out socialists that even make other Democrats embarrassed…
In Nevada, the “The Progressive Unity Slate,” that is run by the normal Democratic socialists lost the leadership elections to “The NV Dems Progressive Slate,” run by the extremist Democratic socialists.
As a result, the regular socialists resigned rather than serve the Democratic extremist socialists. Every leadership position but one was won by a card-carrying socialist.
In 2022 and 2024 the voters in Nevada may finally have a two-party choice.
It’s one thing to be a socialist but another thing entirely to be an extremist socialist. If the extremists can load up the ballots with extremists, the Republican party could score a huge breakthrough.
But the leadership that has seen the Democrats dominate the state will all be gone and the new leadership will try to fill the seats with fellow extremists. That could be their downfall.
The majority of Democratic voters are not extremists.
Judith Whitmer, who won a spot as the party’s chair on Saturday declared:
“We weren’t really surprised, in that we were prepared for it. But what hit us by surprise and was sort of shocking is that for a slate that claimed that they were all about unity, and kept this false narrative of division going on throughout the entire campaign — in fact they kept intensifying that — that’s what was surprising about it, was the willingness to just walk away, instead of working with us.”
