Crazed Restaurateur Who Kicked Out Sanders: Trump Officials Being Spat On: “Maybe They Should Dine at Home” Emmanuel July 1, 2019 Politics Baish’s Opinion| White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family were heckled and harassed while attempting to dine at the Red Hen Restaurant in rural Virginia last year. According to the Gateway Pundit, “Sanders and her family were told to leave the little liberal Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington, Virginia because they are Trump supporters.” The restaurant’s owner, Stephanie Wilkinson, didn’t just humiliate Sanders and her family in front of those inside the establishment prior to kicking them out. The Gateway Pundit explains, “Governor Mike Huckabee told Laura Ingraham on her radio show the following Monday after the incident that Stephanie Wilkinson followed Sarah Sanders and her family across the street to harass them at the other restaurant they went to!” Fox News’ Laura Ingraham tweeted, “This restaurateur of The Red Hen Stephanie Wilkinson not only told @PressSec Sanders to leave–acc to @GovMikeHuckabee on my radio show today, she FOLLOWED Sanders’ family across the street to harass them at the other restaurant they went to!” This restaurateur of The Red Hen Stephanie Wilkinson not only told @PressSec Sanders to leave–acc to @GovMikeHuckabee on my radio show today, she FOLLOWED Sanders' family across the street to harass them at the other restaurant they went to! https://t.co/DEo2QOAcTY — Laura Ingraham (@IngrahamAngle) June 25, 2018 Wilkinson defended the “new rules” that liberals have been pushing against the Trump administration on Friday. According to TGP, “Wilkinson wrote an oped in the Washington Post where she first rejects physical assault on Eric Trump but then justifies the violence and the necessary ‘new rules’ in the age of Trump.” Via the Washington Post: The high-profile clashes rarely involve one citizen fussing at another over the entrees. It’s more often a frustrated person (some of whom are restaurant employees) lashing out at the representatives of an administration that has made its name trashing norms and breaking backs. Not surprising, if you think about it: You can’t call people your enemies by day and expect hospitality from them in the evening. So when the day comes that the world feels returned to its normal axis, I expect we’ll see fewer highly charged encounters making headlines. In the meantime, the new rules apply. If you’re directly complicit in spreading hate or perpetuating suffering, maybe you should consider dining at home.
