We knew that Debbie Wasserman Schultz (former DNC chair) was up to no good, but now it has been confirmed. Wasserman-Schultz may now be under FBI investigation! We are so happy to hear that she will finally face the music and be punished for the crimes that she has committed.
It seems as though Wasserman-Schultz was intending on continuing to pay former IT aide and suspected cyber hacker, Imran Awan after he had fled the country.
The Daily Caller released a report saying, “In all, six months of actions reveal a decision to continue paying a man who seemingly could not have been providing services to her, and who a mountain of evidence suggests was a liability. The man long had access to all of Wasserman Schultz’s computer files, work emails and personal emails, and he was recently accused by a relative in court documents of wiretapping and extortion.”
We are left wondering whether the former DNC Chair holder allowed Awan to remain able to access computers following House authorities banning him from the network. She literally kept him on her staff after he was already banned. According to payroll records, she didn’t even hire anyone else to do the IT work! What kind of idiot doesn’t even think of a cover-up plan?
Wasserman-Schultz claimed that Awan and his wife, Hina Alvi, were victims of anti-Muslim profiling when U.S. Capitol Police explained that the two were targets of a very serious criminal investigation. Liberals always want to claim that everything is racial profiling. It’s getting really ridiculous here.
Awan was caught trying to flee the country to head to his homeland of Pakistan in July. He was taken into custody at Dulles Airport while trying to leave the United States.
It was reported by the Associated Press that Chris Gowen, Awan’s lawyer, explained that Awan “had informed the House of his plans to visit his family.”
But wait! There’s more! A spokesperson for Wasserman-Schultz reported that Awan’s arrest on Monday was what got him fired. She explained, “Upon learning of his arrest, he was terminated.” Something smells like bull crap. Wasserman-Schultz may have dug herself into a hole so deep that this time she won’t be getting out.
The very fact that the office stating that he was fired on Tuesday proves that Wasserman-Schultz didn’t listen to a damn word Capitol Police said when they banned Awan and his wife from accessing congressional computers. She literally has no defense for this one! If Awan had gotten on the flight without being arrested he would STILL be on payroll! How does Wasserman-Schultz think she’s going to weasel her way out of this one?
The DCNF investigative group questioned Wasserman-Schultz’s spokesperson on Thursday asking,“Does that mean if he had boarded the flight as planned the office would have been paying him for six months while he was abroad?” The spokesperson declined to respond to the simple question. The Left is making themselves look stupider and stupider.
Awan’s wife fled the country under eerily similar circumstances back in the beginning of March. She had withdrawn their three children from school without so much as notifying Virginia education officials. She packed up and headed for the airport with $12,000 cash. The FBI reported that she had reportedly had hundreds of thousands of dollars waiting for her in Pakistan. According to the FBI, Awan obtained the money through mortgage fraud. It was then wired overseas. Two days after leaving the country and the FBI beginning to build their case against the couple, Hina was fired and cut from Wasserman’s payroll.
Hina had purchased a round trip ticket with the promise that she would be back in six months. The FBI, however, said it “does not believe that Alvi has any intention to return to the United States.”
David Darmrom, one of Wasserman-Schultz’s spokespeople, didn’t answer to a DCNF IG request asking him to explain why Hina had been fired just two days into a trip that was supposedly “temporary.” And in this case, why did her husband not get fired for the same six-month move? When asked if they had known if Hina’s move was permanent or not ahead of time, Wasserman-Schultz’s office didn’t answer either.
It was found by the FBI that Wasserman-Schultz hadn’t even hired another IT worker after Capitol Police banned Awan and his wife from accessing congressional computers. She didn’t even attempt to hire someone as a cover-up? Seriously, this woman is a total idiot.
It was reported by a House source that Awan was indeed still at the House office building numerous times AFTER being BANNED! A spokesman for Wasserman-Schultz claimed, “Imran Awan is working in an ‘advisory’ role for Wasserman Schultz, providing advice on technology issues.” Sounds like a load of crap to me.
The spokesperson declined to answer when asked who was doing the IT work following the ban. The husband and wife were able to read all emails that Wasserman-Schultz sent and received, as well as all files on staff members’ computers, along with the password to Wasserman-Schultz’s iPad.
Awan’s own stepmother accused him of wiretapping and extortion. Samina Gilani claimed, “Imran Awan did admit to me that my phone is tapped and there are devices installed in my house. Imran Awan threatened that he is very powerful and if I ever call the police again, he will kidnap my family members back in Pakistan.”
Representative Andre Carson, who is Muslim, has actually accused Wasserman-Schultz of blocking police from examining a laptop tied to Imran. The laptop was found hidden in a House office building and taken by Capitol Police to be used as evidence. Wasserman-Schultz, however, was determined not to allow police to view the contents of the laptop. She threatened the Police Chief, claiming that they would see “consequences” if they did not give her back her laptop. Her threat was even videotaped.
Fox News reported months afterwards, Wasserman-Schultz had announced that she was open to “negotiating” with police. This would mean that she would possibly have to hand over files that were deemed not “personal.” (Similarly to Hillary Clinton.)
It seems like everyone is pissed off at the former DNC Chair now. A group of Democratic donors actually filed a lawsuit claiming that Wasserman-Schultz along with the DNC had “breached the duties they owed to… members of the DNC Donor Class by failing to exercise reasonable care and implement adequate [cyber] security protocols.”
I think I can speak for most of us when I say that we are truly relieved to see Wasserman-Schultz finally facing the music. It’s about time that she is exposed for the traitor she really is.
