Another Day, Another Media Outlet Feels Victimized Emmanuel July 4, 2017 Lapdog Media In lieu of a tweet published by President Donald Trump on Monday, it appears the staff at the New York Times is fearing for their safety. What has them so riled up? This: #FraudNewsCNN #FNN pic.twitter.com/WYUnHjjUjg — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 2, 2017 This tweet seems humorous to a rational human being, especially with the recent failures of CNN finally exposed. It’s a meme. A joke. However, the New York Times has taken the opportunity to tell the world just how victimized they feel. From Breitbart: The New York Times is reporting on “criticism, disbelief and dumbfoundedness” in the wake of President Donald Trump’s tweet on Sunday in which the president is depicted wrestling and punching a figure whose head has been replaced with the logo for CNN. Times’ personalities condemned the tweet as, among other things, a “call for violence against the media,” and “unseemly that the president would attack journalists for doing their jobs, and encourage such anger at the media.” This is quite a lofty stance from a paper that openly supported the “Julius Caesar” performance in Central Park. In case you aren’t familiar, this modern take of Shakespeare’s classic shows a dead ringer for Donald Trump getting assassinated by his senators. Even Caesar’s wife, Calpurnia, has a pristine wardrobe and Slavic accent. Now, was Donald Trump’s tweet presidential? Highly debatable. But did he call out any particular member of the media and threaten their safety? No. Plus, was the New York Times even meant to be looped in to this? He’s beating up a logo. He’s taking down the practices of CNN. Let’s put it this way, NYT: I wouldn’t feel terrified to work my job at McDonald’s if President Trump sent out a video of him beating up Colonel Sanders. All this “outrage” is simply a product of our society’s newfound victim complex. It’s a way for the media to show the nation that they, in fact, are the most persecuted industry in Trump’s America.
