The former President, Barack Obama, has made a few public visits since leaving office in January 2017.

On one occasion to be specific, he decided to shock a group of students as he visits a Washington school last week.

Visits

Obama made sure to be loud and clear about encouraging all the students to stand tall and not back down against President Trump.

Barack Obama’s main focus seems to be nothing other than creating as much havoc as possible across America.

According to silenceisconsent:

Former President Barack Obama visited a Washington D.C. high school on Friday, to encourage the students heading back to class for a new school year. He posted video of the event on his Instagram page, which included a subtle message for those still triggered from Donald Trump winning the Presidency. It it, he appears to encourage those left-wing protesters creating havoc across the nation.

In the video, taken at McKinley Technology High School in D.C., Obama is seen entering a classroom as he visits and saying “You don’t mind me crashing, right?” He then took a seat among the surprised students, and began talking to them about the importance of education.

“One of the things that I did throughout my presidency was I’d meet with groups of young people everywhere I went,” Obama said to the students. “Whether it was here in the United States, or when I was traveling overseas just to kind of hear from them, find out what they’re interested in, because I do believe that most of the problems that we have are going to be solved by you.”

After posting the video to Instagram he included the notation “To all the young people headed back to school around the country: Make us proud. You’re the next generation of leaders, and we need you.”

Near the end of the video, which lasts about a minute, Obama is seen shaking the hand of a student and saying “Remember what I said – don’t back down.”

Obama is not seen saying this in his speech excerpt, so it is not clear in what context he said it. However, given Obama’s recent criticism of President Donald Trump, it is likely he encouraged the students to fight the authority they see as wrong, a common theme he has carried since he left office.

We know that President Obama is careful and messaging and image. The particular snippet of video, in which he says that phrase, was included for a reason. He seems to encourage those protesting and resisting the Trump Presidency by saying “don’t back down.”
