Although she might not have a real position in The White House, she has a very powerful voice that her father takes into consideration. She is very smart and in touch with the people. According to the New York Times, Trump is turning over all responsibility of his real estate businesses to his two sons. Ivanka is also taking a leave of absence from the Trump organization.

Ivanka Trump has been in meetings with Trump and was a very strong political presence during his campaign. People love her and she is taking up the role of being the most prominent ‘first daughter’ in history. Although she is not taking a legitimate position she can still advise Trump and be there for him and help him make decisions.
