Tesla CEO and the world’s richest man Elon Musk is a businessman who is very active on Twitter and remains in the constant discussion through his own tweets. Today he has told on Twitter which party he will vote for in the coming time.

Elon Musk has declared that he will vote Republican in the next election, despite having always voted for Democrats in the past.

On Wednesday, Musk stepped up his criticism of the Democratic Party, revealing he has switched his allegiance to the GOP and expects left-leaning lawmakers to target him in the days ahead.

In a podcast interview on Monday Musk announced the switch over video link at a tech summit in Miami, Florida, hosted by the All-In podcast.

Musk acknowledged:

“I have voted overwhelmingly for Democrats, historically. Like I’m not sure, I might never have voted for a Republican, just to be clear. Now this election I will.”

According to a Daily Mail report, Musk asserted that the Joe Biden administration doesn’t seem to be effective in getting work done. “The Trump administration, leaving Trump aside, there were a lot of people in the administration who were effective at getting things done”, he said.

Musk argued that there was a serious need for a digital town square that is inclusive, politically balanced, and transparent about its algorithms.

However, this is currently not the case on Twitter, where people don’t know “what the heck is going on” on the Big Tech platform. “Why is one tweet doing well? Why is another tweet not?” he asked. “Is it the algorithm? Did someone manually intervene? Why are some accounts banned with no recourse apparently?” Musk continued.

He said that the current reality was that Twitter has a “very far-left” bias, which could not continue. “I would class myself as a moderate, neither Republican nor Democrat, and in fact I have voted overwhelmingly for Democrats, overwhelmingly,” he added.

“I’m not sure, I might never have voted for a Republican, just to be clear. Now, this election I will.”
