DNC Office Approved $120k Write-off Linked To Awan Brothers

Awan brothers are implicated in criminal theft findings but Debbie Wasserman-Schultz isn’t the only Democrat that allegedly unknowingly aided the brothers.

Awan brothers

Imran Awan, his wife, and two of his three brothers were all hired as IT aides by certain members of the Democratic Party, and those democrats are now seriously regretting that decision. Imran Awan has already been arrested and indicted on four counts of fraud and falsifying statements. His wife, Hina Alvi, managed to escape the country and landed back home in Pakistan with a large sum of money, but the Awan brothers aren’t getting off as easily.

Originally Imran Awan was indicted for events occurring while employed under Democratic representative Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, but it turns out that the Awan brothers also stole from Democratic Representative Yvette Clarke.

Unfortunately for Clarke, the theft being investigated was swept under the rug by her and her department… so regardless of the criminal behavior of the Awan brothers, Clarke is also under investigation for dismissing the theft of $120k in computer equipment.

Via Daily Caller:

A chief of staff for Democratic Rep. Yvette Clarke quietly agreed in early 2016 to sign away a $120,000 missing electronics problem on behalf of two former IT aides now suspected of stealing equipment from Congress, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.

Clarke’s chief of staff at the time effectively dismissed the loss and prevented it from coming up in future audits by signing a form removing the missing equipment from a House-wide tracking system after one of the Awan brothers alerted the office the equipment was gone. The Pakistani-born brothers are now at the center of an FBI investigation over their IT work with dozens of Congressional offices.

The $120,000 figure amounts to about a tenth of the office’s annual budget, or enough to hire four legislative assistants to handle the concerns of constituents in her New York district. Yet when one of the brothers alerted the office to the massive loss, the chief of staff signed a form that quietly reconciled the missing equipment in the office budget, the official told TheDCNF. Abid Awan remained employed by the office for months after the loss of the equipment was flagged.

Evidence that corruption runs deep in the Democratic Party continues to surface and the Awan brothers alleged crimes is just the tip of the iceberg.
